I am an endurance athlete & after competition I have severe stomach pain with gas & bloating, what causes this - severe athlete
I have tried to remove wheat from my diet and do not seem to make a difference. I have these stomach problems after not competing during the training.

It sounds like dehydration to me. Abdominal pain, gas, bloating, are indicators of dehydration. So you can easily avoid.
Buy something with electrolytes, and no energy drinks. Energy drinks contain caffeine, a diuretic. Basically, this means that stimulates and accelerates the process of draining urinate more. Drinks like Gatoraide, Poweraide, smart water, etc., are an excellent choice.
Drinking again!
